" I Am Not My Hair" is a mentoing program that instill positive self-talk and perspectives into the lives of our youngladies. Because of many reasons, our girls and youngladies believe that they can only fit in if they look a certain way. One of the biggest ideas among our female youth is that beauty is about having a certain texture and long hair. This mentoring program teaches that females are so much more than acceptance of looking a certain way. Individual uniqueness is encouraged and identified.
